What brought you to Parma?

I was born in Parma, and my family moved to Medina when I was really young. Third grade we moved back to Parma and I haven’t left since.

What do you do?

I am the President of The Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, in Old Brooklyn, and the owner of Shue Financial Services, in Parma.

Favorite thing in Parma?

The incredible park system, especially West Creek, and the sense of community are what I love most about Parma.

What brought you to Parma?

I lived in Parma for a few years as a child and moved back 15 years ago when I fell in love with and purchased my current home.

The sense of community, the engaging events that bring residents together, the well-established park systems and the vibrant cultural diversity all make Parma a special place in my eyes.

What brought you to Parma?

As a resident of Ward 6 since 1995, I spent the majority of my childhood here and when the time came for me to purchase my own home, it was an easy decision for me to remain in this community.

Favorite thing in Parma?

If I had to focus on one thing it would be the residents! The sense of community is second to none in my opinion. Food-wise, I’d have to say Daddario Pizzeria.

What brought you to Parma?

U.S. Bank. I have the opportunity / privilege to serve the residents of Parma by managing U.S. Bank Parma Walmart.

Favorite thing in Parma?

Community events like the holiday parades, Parma Frights, and Rib ‘n’ Rock immediately come to mind! The community’s support of our school’s mission and vision has also been fantastic to experience; placing students in careers with Parma businesses and even helping them become independent business owners is extremely rewarding.

What brought you to Parma?

The opportunity to lead a dynamic team and advocate for students in the Parma area who desire a non-traditional approach to education most definitely brought me to Parma—it’s been an amazing ride so far!

What do you do?

I am the principal structural engineer and 1/3 owner of Sphere Engineers & Consultants, and run our Parma office.

What is your favorite thing in Parma?

Besides my house, B&L Comics, Cards, and Nostalgia on Ridge & Virginia Roads in Parma. Close second would be Pinball Planet on Pearl Road just north of Parma Heights city hall. Coming in close at third place would be the 9-holes of mini golf that the city’s recreation department sets up at Veteran’s Memorial park every spring.

What brought you to Parma?

I grew up in Brecksville, but spent a lot of time in Parma as a kid. I love the city, there is so much to do, it is a very diverse city, and the residents are generally down to earth and friendly. When I became a father and we were looking for our first home, we chose Parma for these reasons. As life went on and we could afford to buy our “dream home”, we decided that southern Parma by the West Creek park would be ideal for our family.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I am a big fan of comic books and music.
